Conformity Assessment of Explosives

Conformity assessment of explosives for civil uses under the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU of 26 February 2014, introduced as Ordinance on the Essential Requirements and Conformity Assessment of Explosives for Civil Uses (SG # 23 of 25 March 2016).

Explosives for civil uses are included in Class 1 of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods – blasting explosives, detonating cords, safety cords – and their conformity is assessed under the following Modules:

  • Module B: EU Type Examination
  • Module C2: Conformity to type based on internal production control plus supervised product checks at random intervals
  • Module D: Conformity to type based on quality assurance of the production process
  • Module F: Conformity to type based on product verification
  • Module G: Conformity based on unit verification
